The Doctor’s in and he’s got a whole new perscription for medicine – lifestyle medicine in the form of an easy to use app! It’s AWESOME sauce! But before we get into that, take a look at your calendar… no really… take a look at it. What’s in there?
I look at my calendar daily – well all four of them and it’s full of appointments, meetings, and more appointments ……sound familiar? If you’re like me, you’re always on the run! BUT, and this is a big BUT, we all have the same 24-hours in a day to do the things we want and need to do.
I asked myself, “Where is the ‘YOU time’ in there? How can you give to your clients if you’re not giving to yourself first? And the same is true for you whether regarding your job, family, friends etc…. you’ve gotta be filled up FIRST to give to others!
And the biggest excuse I hear is….”Well, I don’t have any time for that” or “I’m too busy!” My question to you is,
“Are you too busy for your health and your body that’s there for you a million and one ways a day?”
I remember that I used to run everything I did past the “Does that fit into my exercise schedule or will I be able to exercise if I add this one more activity in?” And now I look back and think….well…wow that was kina silly. If I really wanted to exercise, I’d just make time for it and do it – even if it meant getting up at 5 am.
So what does this have to do with balance?!?
I will tell ya, without balance, you’ll find yourself in the hot seat headed straight to burnout, feeling depleted and overwhelm land!
