Before we go any further, let’s re-define “healthy.” Because the “healthy” that I’m talking about reaches beyond supplements and organic produce.
Healthy, from my lens, encompasses the whole body; taking into account all aspects of your life.
There’s not an exact definition to describe the way I practice. I meet you where you’re at on your journey to health. It is a unique blend of evidence-based science along with intuition, body wisdom and fun!
Some people may say what I do fits in the “unconventional box.”
You probably haven’t met someone quite like me. That’s because I’m equal parts nutritionist, positive psychology expert and coach, with a side of spice and determination to help YOU meet your health and happiness goals!
In fact, I have coined the term “multi-passionate nutritionist” to describe me. A born-and-raised Chicago girl with a passion for food, people and big dreams…I teach you how to breakthrough your biggest barriers by taking daily actions plus positive thinking to create life-changing, sustainable and health transforming results.
My abusive relationship with my food, attitude and body started at 13 – taunted as “Obese Elyse.”
I always wanted a few things:
A flat stomach
No cellulite on my thighs
To wake up without a stomach ache
To slip favorite pair of jeans on comfortable and like what I see staring back at me
BUT, what I really wanted was to just be and feel happy, healthy and fabulous in my body!
I knew what I wanted, I just didn’t know how to get there.
I changed my food, I exercised and I still was unhappy, frustrated and miserable in my body.
I thought I was doing everything “right.” Instead, I was…
Constantly worrying about what I was eating…
Secretly sneaking chips, cake and cookies….
Alone, sad and struggling…
I was really trading my happiness, peace and freedom so I could fit into what I thought would make me happy and healthy.
What I thought was sweet – went sour – fast! But, I learned a HUGE lesson!
I need outside help and support.
What fun is it to try to fit into what you think is a FABULOUS life and body on the outside if you can’t enjoy food, feel confident and comfortable in your body on the inside?
I knew something was missing and I had to do something about it.
Determined to find the missing pieces of the pie, I dedicated my life’s work and studies to understanding how to create health and happiness.
First goal: heal myself first (mind, body, spirit and of Celiac disease) using my solid education
Second goal: use my personal experience + education to positively guide, coach and impact millions of women (and men) around the globe.
Most importantly- and this is the icing on the cake- I learned that self-love, acceptance and compassion is the place to start, even loving every curve, dimple cellulite or blemish.
Now, I empower and educate women (and men) across the globe to create sustainable health and happiness.

At the University of Wisconsin-Madison I became well versed in physiology, nutritional sciences, dietetics and I geek out to biochemisty and received a Bachelors of Science in Nutritional Sciences and Dietetics.
At Bastyr University, I received a dual Masters’ in Nutritional Sciences and Clinical Health Psychology. I learned the true science and synergy of blending food and mood together to get transformative results.
I became equipped with a specific set of food and mood skills to help clients who struggle with…
….so they can confidently take their health into their own hands.
Determined to bring these discoveries to clients on a global level, I transformed what I learned in school and my own experience into the Permission To Feel Fabulous Coaching Method and F.A.B. Camp where clients can work with me on an individual basis or in a group program. Learn more about working with me here.
Both are coaching programs grounded in nutrition, positive psychology and mind body techniques and principles to create HUGE breakthroughs and results!
If the word psychology or shrink erks you a bit, consider me a nourishing mindset coach. I work with you to chop up negative belief patterns and turn them into nuggets-o-wisdom that will get you delicious results, easier and faster than you could get in the past 15 years of therapy.
The best training (which I can’t say I have a certificate for), is my life experience and personal health journey. I talk my talk and walk my walk and I don’t recommend my clients to do anything I haven’t done already.
Everyday is a continued discovery and journey of self development, growth, love and understanding.
This just isn’t’ my life, it’s my passion and I can’t wait to share it with you!
